Ingredients
Scale
Fruit Base
- 16 oz. peach slices (frozen)
Sweetener
- ¼-½ cup agave nectar (or honey, or simple syrup)
Citrus
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice (or freshly squeezed lemon juice)
- 1 tsp. grated lime zest (or lemon zest)
Garnish
- Mint sprigs (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: Add the frozen peach slices, ¼ cup of your chosen sweetener, lime juice, and lime zest to a large food processor or blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes, pausing to scrape down the sides every 20-30 seconds to ensure a smooth texture without fruit chunks. Gradually add more sweetener, 1 tablespoon at a time, blending thoroughly after each addition until you achieve your preferred sweetness.
- Freeze the Sorbet: Transfer the smooth peach mixture into a 9×5-inch metal loaf pan. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer to ensure consistent freezing.
- Chill Until Set: Freeze the mixture for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to firm up into a sorbet texture. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 minutes to soften slightly for easy scooping.
- Serve: Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh mint sprigs if desired. Enjoy a refreshing, naturally sweetened treat!
Notes
- Use ripe, flavorful peaches for the best sorbet taste.
- The sweetness can be adjusted to your preference by adding more or less sweetener during blending.
- If you don’t have a metal loaf pan, any shallow freezer-safe dish will work.
- Allow the sorbet to soften slightly before serving to enhance texture and scoopability.
- This recipe is naturally dairy-free and vegan when made with agave nectar or maple syrup.
